Conversations with God: Let Me Know If This Isn’t Real

Hey God,

It’s me.

I’ve found someone that makes me feel like I want to be in love again.

He makes me feel like I want him to see past the barricade.

I dream of seeing him every night.

Laying next to him and listening to him speak to me.

I know he’s not perfect, but I think he’s perfect for me.

But I want you to tell me if what I’m feeling is real.

Tell me for sure if he’s the one so I can let myself love him fully.

If not, make me lose all the feelings I have for him now.

I don’t want to have to feel the pain of losing someone I love, again.

Tell me if he’ll love me the way I need and deserve to be loved.

Let know me if I invest my time in building something with him, that it won’t be in vain because my heart can’t take another hit.

Please don’t let me love him if his love will only be temporary, and make me wish I never met him.

Never f’ed with him.

Let my love disappear and my longing to see him fade away.

God, you know this how it always starts out….

They use all the right words to break down the wall that was built to keep the ill-intentioned out.

Once my guard is down, they only stay long enough to add my name as a notch on their belt.

If this is the kind of man he’ll turn out to be, don’t let me love him.

Let me fall out like and love now.

Let the longing to hear his voice, and to feel his touch fade.

Stop the daydreams from coming and keep me woke.

Because I don’t want it, or him if it won’t end up being real.
