In and Out of Love
Some days I find myself wanting more and more of you.
Then there are other days when I want to rip these feelings from my heart, and forget that I even know you.
I ask God every day to show me whether I should invest more of me into you, but I’ve yet to hear his voice regarding us.
The thought of going all in and then you doing something fucked up to my love makes me nervous as hell.
You broke down the wall I built to protect myself brick by brick.
That wall kept me from getting too high off of love. Without it I fell naked.
You left my heart fully exposed to receive love or to be exploited.
I want to let my love for you live freely and grow, but not knowing how real this is or could be keeps me wanting to play it safe.
Some days I want to profess my love for you, take beautiful pictures of us for Instagram and caption them with hashtag bae.
Then there are other days when I want to sit silently in a dark corner, as far away from you as I can get, so I can spare myself from the hurt that may come from loving you.
