NTT DOCOMO, INC. (“DOCOMO”), NTT Digital, and UnUniFi Protocol signed a three-way agreement on July 11, 2023, to cooperate in the promotion and development of Web3.
In the expansion of Web3 technology, it is essential to develop a technical infrastructure and an environment that emphasizes security, reliability, and transparency. We will pursue innovation to realize a fairer and more sustainable society by working together to develop unique use cases and services made possible by blockchain technology.
In 2022, DOCOMO announced their plans to invest $4B into Web3 infrastructure. Today, DOCOMO continues this initiative by announcing their plans to expand Web3 business through a new subsidiary, NTT Digital. NTT Digital will combine DOCOMO’s extensive mobile-business expertise with the NTT Group’s knowledge in security and payments.
