So you’ve joined the U of S UX Collective. Now what?
Whether you’re a seasoned designer or someone who’s looking to learn more about user experience and user interface (UX/UI) design, the U of S UX Collective welcomes you! We’re the first-ever design club at the University of Saskatchewan, and we’re excited to educate and connect with students who want to learn more about product design.
The U of S UX Collective aims to create local opportunities and make design resources accessible for everyone. We’ve partnered with designers from industry and the U of S to host events and workshops that help our community learn more about the fascinating world of UX/UI design.
Let’s talk about some ways that you can get involved with the U of S UX Collective.
Attend our events
One of the best ways to learn more about UX/UI is to listen to people who are knowledgeable and passionate about UX/UI design. In one past event series, we introduced attendees to the product design world with the help of Anh Phan of the University of Calgary and Joshua Reddekopp of Vendasta. During another session, we helped prepare prospective interns for the Computer Science Professional Internship Program.
Our upcoming event — “We are all designers with zu” — is our first collaboration with our partners at zu. This event, which features stories from zu’s Albert Jame (strategy director and partner) and Christianne Rooke (UX researcher), will inspire you to adopt a new mindset and appreciation for the word “design.” Register here, and join us in ARTS 241 at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, to learn why prioritizing human-centred design makes the difference in anything that we create.
