Our pre-launch has successfully ended and we are ready to start our beta test.

As previously announced, UPcoin starts its beta test in February 2018. Beta be closed, meaning only a limited number of participants will be allowed to take part before it’s open to everyone.

In case you are not going to join us for beta testing but would like to get a preview of UPcoin, please check out this video:

Test Structure

Testing will be organized in several iterations (Rounds). This article explains the organization and procedures during Round 1.

Important: some functions will be disabled during Round 1 and will be added towards Round 2 and Round 3.

Duration of Round 1

Round 1 will start on February 6, 10:00 GMT and will last for 24 hours. For the entire duration of Round 1 our support team will be online and we will keep on taking feedback until all requests are fully processed and submitted to our dev team. No matter what time zone you are in, we would be happy to hear from you. Traders are heard at UPcoin, so feel free to voice your thoughts, complaints or provide constructive criticism any time.

After the end of Round 1 all feedback will be analyzed, grouped and forwarded to our dev team for further analysis and implementation.

Please note that not all functions will be fully accessible since we will be testing just the core functions. Here is a list of most important changes:

Trading and Deposits

All trading will be done in demo mode and all deposits/withdrawals will be disabled until trading goes live. Your account will be credited with a certain amount of BTC so that you can start a trading simulation. At the end of the test all account balances will be zeroed out.

API disabled

API will be disabled during beta test.

20 Trading Pairs During Round 1

20 Trading Pairs will be added for Round 1, all trading will be realized within the BTC market. The coins added for Round 1 are: BCH, XRP, LTC, WAVES, ETH, EOS, TRX, ICX, OMG, PPT, ZRX, VERI, WAX, BAT, SALT, GNT, ETHOS, AION, DENT. Please find more details below:

Supported Languages

English and Spanish speaking support will be available during the test.

Security Protocols

Since we will work in demo mode, some of the security procedures will be taken to the minimum. We will have 2FA enabled only.

Supported Devices

Only desktop/laptop computers will be supported. Mobile and tablet support will be added during Round 2 and Round 3.

What to Pay Attention to During Testing

Making an Order

Limit and Market orders will be available during Round 1, so make sure to explore both order types.

Price Chart Display

Fig. 4. Price charts — vertical view

UPcoin allows simultaneous display of two price charts, so exploring that functionality is certainly worthwhile. Try opening different trading pairs in different browsers, tabs, put them on different screens if you have such option. Also, be sure to experiment with graph scaling — you can make this graph bigger or smaller, depending on what your preferences are.

Orders With Delayed Placement

This is a feature that has been developed for newbies. What it does is it delays your order before adding it to the order book, allowing you to reconsider your decision. The default setting is 0 seconds, however you can set to 5, 10, 15 seconds if you want. The underlying idea is to give newbies some extra time to reconsider their decisions.

Set Target Prices Using & Set a Size of Your Trade Using a Drop Down Menu

Say, you want to open a position if a price goes down by 10%. You can easily do so by picking -10% next to the current minimum price. Your order will get added to the order book and will be filled when the price dips by 10%. Likewise you might want to close your position if the price rises by 15% — simply select a value and the order form will do the math for you.

Likewise, you can use a similar tool to determine the size of your trade. A typical trade size is 10% of your deposit, so you can easily pick amount you want to enter your trade with — simply select a value on the drop down menu and the system will do the math.

Please test this feature and provide your feedback based on what you see. We would love to hear from you.

How to Provide Feedback/Submit an Idea

We have created a closed beta testing group in Telegram and will send out invitations to all Round 1 participants. All feedback and ideas should be submitted via this group by contacting one of the admins available in chat. All requests and feedback will be taken, analyzed and forwarded to dev team for review and implementation.

Thank you for signing up as beta testers and helping us to make UPcoin a top place for traders!
