Book Review
I just read the most amazing poetry book. So, I am not so inclined into poetry , but this book encouraged me to read poems in the future as well.
The title of the book is “When the Mystic meets a starfish” by Madhushree Das. The book is an anthology of poems related to spiritual connection with a phenomenon that goes beyond an ordinary human knowledge with a direct connection to the infinite. The starfish here refers to the symbol of celestial love . The style of poetry used here is Mysticism. Still processing ? Let me tell you what is mysticism , Mysticism is the purest form of awareness, ecstasy and magic. The poet Madhushree Das has an appealing pen name i.e Inkling Ink which surely matches her creativity . The book consists of 37 pages.
Now let’s dive into the most favorite aspects of the book according to me.
- The book cover- The font in the book cover was well chosen {from a calligrapher}.
- The language and vocabulary used in the poem were vast .
- The Emotions were coming alive and the poet captured the essence from her words in a nice manner.
- The theme was well chosen as it was unique and informative for sure maximum readers must not be aware of.
Lost is my favorite poem of all of the other poems. It conveys multiple emotions in one go . I kept reading and decoding…
