Burger King returning to Jersey

Burger King will be returning to Jersey for the first time in more than a decade after franchise operator SandpiperCI signed a deal with Restaurants Brands International.

The restaurant will create 30 jobs and will be based in the old Fabric Factory building in York Street, near the St Helier Town Hall.

The planned 60-seater restaurant is subject to SandpiperCI getting planning permission. They say it will be based on the latest Burger King design and will have seating outside.

Sandpiper CEO, Tony O’Neill said: “Burger King is clearly well-known globally and further demonstrates Sandpiper’s commitment to bring quality brands to the Channel Islands.

“The York Street site in Jersey is ideally placed for passing trade and we’re hoping to support other traders in the Parade/York Street area with the increased footfall to our outlet.”

The company hopes to open the restaurant late Spring 2016.
