Girls20 delegates of Turkey, Afghanistan, Japan, Colombia & Pakistan(thats me) left to Right) on their visit to Grand hall, Teatro Colon, 2018

Teatro Colón or Columbus Theatre is considered one of the ten best opera houses in the world. It is Situated near Plaza de Mayo, Monserrat; Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Its architectural style is Eclectic and was built in 1857, different types of beautiful marbles are used, red marbles were my favourite that are used in the building too.

We took the guided tour to know the history of the building and it was worth paying the fee.

The Grand Concert Hall

The grand hall lies at the heart of the building and is inspired by the classic theatres and operas in France and Italy. Its concert hall is huge and has a seating arrangement of nearly 2500. The hall has beautiful balconies and a beautifully painted ceiling, by Raúl Soldi.

THE GOLDEN ROOM :

This is my favourite part of the theatre, I live how its painted in different shades of gold with intricate work around the brims.

The Golden room is magnificent, has big luminous chandeliers with countless bulbs and has royal interiors. The Windows glasses are hand painted too.

Teatro colon is surly a hive of creativity and art.
