Jerry Rice, LaDainian Tomlinson and Ryan Shazier hit up our Instagram to hand out words of wisdom on blocking haters while chasing your dreams.

Jerry Rice is known for his natural strength, strong character and insane work ethic. At the start of his career Rice was doubted for his drop rate, but that didn’t stop him from scoring the most touchdowns in NFL history.

Jerry Rice: “Don’t worry about improving too fast. Just worry about giving 100%, work hard, stay focused, and set small goals. Just do it.”

LaDainian Tomlinson’s 2001 scouting report noted “this is no franchise back” and called him out for his lack of “explosive bursts.” Those notes didn’t stop L.T. from pursuing a record breaking career and being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

LaDainian Tomlinson: “Leave no doubt. Doubt is the biggest enemy of success. Work as hard as you can every single day with the one goal of being the first in your family to go to college and let’s see what happens.”

Ryan Shazier’s last season was cut short after he suffered a severe spinal injury that left him temporarily paralyzed. Five months later the linebacker walked unassisted onto the stage to announce the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 28th overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

Ryan Shazier: Ever since I’ve been injured I’ve been in the gym everyday just working my tail off trying to destroy doubt. A lot of people didn’t expect me to be where I’m at. But I worked every single day, just keeping my head down, just trying to get better. That’s the best way to become whoever you wanna be. Just try to get better every single day. Just keep working.
