Death is a funny thing. People die all the time. And when they do, for about a day or two, people post and write and grieve. But after about 24 hours, it’s all done.

Bill Cunningham died today. He was a legendary fashion photographer. And I really respected his work. I would have loved to have photographed him. But now I can’t, because he’s dead.

So the outpouring of grief has begun. And in the morning, it will be all over. And hopefully he will not be forgotten. Just like all the rest of the people who died and got posted about for 24 hours.

I remember when Michael Jackson died. It was a big deal. But now it just seems like a little blip in history.

So here’s to all the people who died, and will die. Hopefully we don’t forgot you. But we probably will.
