Modern Hate

So you tried your luck with modern love, but now she’s gone.

Doesn't matter who is at fault, you might be feeling like a loser or a pawn.

You can’t see her profile, comments, or her pics.

She has also unfollowed you on twitter, no more liking her instagram clicks.

You shared lives and now you can’t even see each other on a shared thread.

Told ya, long time ago, modern love was a tricky territory to tread.

It is more common than not for this to happen, so I came prepared.

Wrote this for anyone who went all in, hoped and dared.

Success might feel great, but there’s an upside to losing too.

No need to put a face on, grief is part of the human experience too.

You might feel your energy, passion, hopes, and faith all deplete.

But all this might make the human in you more complete.

So let me quote Batman and tell you the night is darkest before the dawn.

Shut up, think different, play a sport, make some music, and mow thy lawn!
