Good luck with this, Montel. Like many members of the GOP, McCrory isn’t the representative that you once thought he was and would become in the future. He panders to the ultra-conservative religious minority, would rather be seen as someone who “stands up” rather than negotiate and look for compromise (both words that have become anathema to conservatives) and is looking to having solid GOP support in the future at the cost of the present. Having lived in NC for much of my adult life, the GOP in that state has followed this course…McCrory is just trying to stay in step with the group.
