What to do in the First Year of College Life?

Many folks complain that there is so much academic pressure in their first year of college. I usually smile and say the curriculum is designed like that and you can do nothing with that. BUT BUT BUT , this doesn’t mean you have to waste your first year as I did. LOL 😂

Worry Not, here are some tips that you can follow in the first year of college life.

1. Develop your communication skills (Better to watch any video which depicts developing these skills for interviews for your reference) and adapt nature to help others. Trust me this is the basic fundamental for our developer community. PS: Ache insaan bano, pad baad mein lena. (Be a good person first then educate yourself next 😎)
2. Connect with seniors who have a good percentage to gain tips on how to score well in your college exams.
3. Make a LinkedIn profile and watch some tutorials on Youtube on how to optimize it. I would suggest this playlist by FAANGPATH. Install this chrome extension for LinkedIn optimisation (LINK)
4. Join a portal where job vacancies appear regularly. I would suggest joining such groups on Telegram. Bhaiya what to do now?
5. Suppose a job opening comes from a company say XYZ then follow that company’s LinkedIn page and make at least 10 connections from that company so that when you come in your final year they could provide you with the referral.
6. Of course, Learn any programming language and deploy code on GITHUB on daily basis.
7. Take part in Open source programs by learning basic development such as HTML,CSS AND JAVASCRIPT.
8. How will I find open-source programs? Visit this Github Repo. Star the Repo for your future reference.
9. Make a discord and Slack account. Try to use them on a daily basis. Most open source programs share their information on discord servers while many companies use Slack as their communication medium nowadays.

Conclusion : Doing these basic stuff will make you feel so productive trust me. And make sure to enjoy your first year, it will never come. So, jamke mauj karna aur ye basic stuffs karlena.
