I’m now a published author. 🥳🎉😍 ✊🏾

It’s been a long time coming and yet still feels right on time. This book is both a collection of essays and a compilation of resources to help us actualize Black self-determination and community sustainability.

It’s best read as an ebook on Kindle to link directly to resources!

I was waiting for a good day to announce, but given the state of the world, the right time now seems arbitrary. But I believe the book is timely in offering cooperative solutions we need during these transformative times. I also know a time where I can officially host a book launch party may be a while off. Our overall health and wellness should always be our collective priority, and I think this book helps prioritize US.

From a hip hop perspective, this day makes all the sense. Earlier I was flipping through Chuck D’s book, This Day in Rap and Hip-Hop History, and something caught my eye. April 10, 1990 was a big day in hip hop. 30 years ago today, two of my favorite rap groups of all time dropped albums that had a huge impact on my sensibility and worldview. The groups are A Tribe Called Quest (ATCQ) and Public Enemy (PE). The acclaimed albums that were released on April 10th 30 years ago were ATCQ’s debut album People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm and PE’s third album Fear of a Black Planet. The universe was speaking to me. It’s time. It’s Nation Time.

Thank you in advance for your support. I am planning a virtual book club discussion for sometime soon…so stay tuned!

One Love.
