Save Bell Bowl Prairie

Next Public Meeting — An Alternative Vision

Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 6:00 p.m.

The public meeting on Tuesday, October 19 will feature the presentation of an alternative expansion proposal using green design concepts. We think it will be an exciting plan that will be a win/win for everyone — save Bell Bowl Prairie and expand the Chicago Rockford International Airport. Organizers will also provide an update on what’s happening and action items for you to spread the word about the effort to #savebellbowlprairie. Oh, and did we mention that there will be free pizza and pop for those who attend in person? The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19 at Burpee Museum of Natural History, 732 N. Main St., Rockford, IL. Attend in person or by Zoom.

A paper written by John White, former director of the Illinois Natural Areas Inventory, helps provide insight into “Why Bell Bowl Prairie exists” and “Why Bell Bowl Prairie is valuable.”
