The dictionary says:

  1. the state or quality of being decent.

2. conformity to the recognized standard of propriety, good taste, modesty, etc.

3. decorum, respectability, gentility.

I’m a big fan of the word and its aspiration. Leading a decent life means being gentle to others, show modesty, display decorum and act ethical. It might just change the world.
