It’s the 9th of August, which means it’s Mooncake Festival! Although it has been several years since I last celebrated this auspicious holiday in the heavenly Buddha Land, I am still an avid mooncake fan and I love to try them wherever I go.

Bakery Overview

Bread Garden is a quaint little bakery located in the heart of Singapore. The bakery offers a wide variety of breads and pastries, but their specialty is durian mooncakes. They have every flavor you can imagine: original, custard, chocolate custard, dark chocolate custard, green tea red bean paste with lotus seed paste filling and more! If you want to try something different this Lunar New Year season, then come to Bread Garden for some delicious durian treats! The buns are also quite big and fluffy, so it’s perfect for stuffing with all your favorite fillings.

Other Bakery Offerings

In addition to durian mooncakes, Bread Garden offers a wide variety of other delicious pastries and baked goods. Their savory items include croissants, pain au chocolat, and savory tarts. For those with a sweet tooth, they have an assortment of cakes, cookies, and macarons. They also have a selection of healthy options like granola bars and oatmeal cookies. No matter what you’re looking for, you’re sure to find something to your taste at Bread Garden. Whether it’s a decadent dessert or a quick breakfast on the go, Bread Garden has the perfect treat for you.

Each item is created using only high-quality ingredients that are both natural and organic. Because they take great pride in their products, they ensure that all of their food is made fresh daily without artificial additives or preservatives — just honest goodness. When you bite into one of their goodies, it will truly be like nothing else you’ve ever tasted before.

How to Choose a Mooncake

When it comes to mooncakes, there are a few things you should take into consideration before making your purchase. First, decide what type of filling you would like. Do you prefer the traditional lotus paste or something more unique like durian? Second, think about the size and weight of the mooncake. Are you looking for something small and delicate or large and filling? Third, consider the price.

Mooncakes can range from a few dollars to over one hundred dollars depending on the brand and fillings. In order to make sure that you’re getting the best deal possible, be sure to read reviews online. It’s important that this is just as important as any other part of your decision process because even with an amazing filling, if the cake is made poorly it won’t taste good. At Bread Garden, we use premium ingredients so that our cakes always turn out soft and delicious.

The Good, The Bad, and The Interesting

Bread Garden’s durian mooncake is pretty good! The bad thing is that they’re really expensive. The interesting thing is that they’re made with real durian fruit, which is a rare find in mooncakes. If you love durian, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you might want to give it a skip. You can also try other flavors like pandan and black sesame. But be warned that some people don’t like bread garden because they don’t have as many toppings as other brands of mooncakes do. And some people feel the texture is too dry or has too much flour-y taste to it.

But if you’re okay with those things, these are worth trying out at least once in your life just for the novelty of it all! They’re available in 4 different types: classic mooncake (green tea), winter melon, black sesame, and pandan flavor. All four varieties come in individual packs of 5 pieces each, costing SGD$15 per pack. A box containing 10 packs costs SGD$60, but is only available for the winter melon and pandan varieties. Boxes containing 12 packs are priced at SGD$84 but only come in two varieties — original and black sesame mooncakes.
