Refresh Your Portfolio With These 6 Useful Tips 🚀 :-

“6 Motivational & Useful Tips for Designers in 2018"

1. All Killer, No Filler! 👌

Yeah, you heard it right, just put it to the All Killer Ones and not the Fillers Ones. Only show your best works, and don’t fill your portfolio with works that you aren't happy with.

“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ’Til your good is better and your better is best.”

- St. Jerome

2. Keep it Fresh. 👓

Be it any Visual Design or and Digital Product, the Evolution keeps continuing and to be in the industry one needs to keep it fresh and updated! The best Portfolios are never static. Update your Portfolio regularly with an improved and better version of your works.

“You can’t do sketches enough. Sketch everything and keep your Curiosity & Designs Fresh.”

- John Singer (*M)

3. Present Your Work Well. 💡

Include WIP Images, Include Details as much as possible, Include Videos if possible, Customize Your Page’s Appearances, Make a jaw-dropping Flow and an interesting Case Study of the Project that catches eyes, Overall be as much as Descriptive you can be in your Presentation!

“Our work is the presentation of our capabilities & the Entertainment is in the Presentation.”

- Edward Gibbon

4. Follow Articles & Trends. 🎯

Once you've begun uploading your Portfolio, make sure to follow lots of Talented Artists that inspire you and explore the Trends as much you can, don’t be left out in the Crowd if you don’t have great expertise in Designing then try to follow the Trends and one day you will Rise & Shine and come up with your own Creative Versions. Don’t be afraid to Follow Trends as one day because of this you can be able to create Trends! :-)

“Don’t be afraid to follow trends, and once you started following don’t forget to start your own trends!”

- Chaman Sharma

5. Advertise Your Work. 💌

Boom, Alas you can’t totally rely on Behance or Dribbble or any other Portfolio Website until and unless you advertise your works. So you just need to give a little push from your side too, so use the power of Social Media, and advertise your work baby.

“Creative without strategy is called Art. Creative with strategy is called Advertising.”

- Jef I. Richards

6. Always Obey KISS Principle! 💙

At Last, KISS is an acronym that stands for “Keep It Simple, Stupid”. So always try to obey this Principle. And Yes, this is definitely not the Kiss that you might be thinking about! :-P

“Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication, Less is More. Keep it Real, Keep it Honest. Keep it Simple, Stupid!”

- Leonardo da Vinci + Bob Marley (*M)

Bonus Tip (UI vs UX) 🎈 :-

Also, try to learn to craft some useful User Experiences too along with designing some Beautiful User Interfaces, Since a Product that doesn't work well or doesn't have an effective outcome or possible solution to an existing problem even after having beautiful design may not lead to success! So try to keep UI and UX both dependent on each other and not in parallel. And for those who are confusing between UI & UX, let me clear you up in some simple words: UI is the overall look and feel of the product while UX is how the products works and it's all about the user's interaction with a product or service!
