What works is honesty. The whole team knows what’s really feasible. If you stick to that set of features and build to it, you’ll deliver what you expected to and not less. The fundamental issue I have with MVP’s is that people keep building them. Another thing to note is that they encourage jamming 3 half-complete features into a release instead of 2 complete features into a release.

MVPs are great for the first release, after that they are just perpetuating a cycle of hopeful but unrealistic releases.
