Thanks very much for sharing, that’s great to know! I was born in Germany and my brother married a German woman, but my understanding of language/UI issues is very superficial. It ends at “German words are longer.”

And your insight is a great example of challenging assumptions. I’d assume “of course 100% of people want the UI to work in their language without modification” but I could see the reality being a more nuanced “do your best, of course, but in small doses it may be ok to use English rather than change the entire UI to accommodate German.”
