UX Portfolios: You suck at talking about yourself. Let ChatGPT do it for you

Hey, Miranda here 👋

How painfully awkward is it to have to talk about yourself? Moreover talk about yourself in such a convincing way that someone would actually be willing to want to work with you?

I think that’s why a lot of designers end up not being great at crafting an about page and having reviewed a bazillion portfolios I can tell you a lot of the time they end up being more like a list view of your resume instead of a compelling story that shows you’re a great fit for the team and role you applied for.

When companies are looking at your portfolio they aren’t just looking at what skills and experience you have, they are trying to understand if they could see themselves working with you. Your personality is what sets you apart from the sea of designers with the same skills and experience. It’s what makes you memorable whether you like it or not.

But instead of staying hunched over my computer looking into the depths of my soul working out what makes me unique. I took to the new world of Ai to take this awkward and tedious task off my hands and I want to show you how you can do it too.

I tried this with both ChatGPT and Google’s Bard and they were both very similar but everyone will get slightly different responses of course.
