The Interested Challenge

“Do this and you will be welcome anywhere” by Dale Carnegie is an excellent book in which author has discussed the different examples from different areas of life. If you want to get prestige and respected place in the society firstly you have to give that respect and attention to the society which you are expecting from them. There is one paragraph who hits me the most;

“Did you ever stop to think that a dog is the only animal that doesn’t have to work for a living? A hen has to lay eggs, a cow has to give milk, and a canary has to sing. But a dog makes his living by giving you nothing but love.”

So what other people expect from you is love and affection. You have to five respect to gain the respect. A small change in our behavior can make us lovable person amongst our circle.

This same technique is applied when we go for an interview. So we have to show them and prove them that we are interested in you rather to make them feel you find them interesting. There is a hell difference between being interested and interesting. So how can we make them feel like we are interested in them? The answer is by doing research about the company.

I have met my different friends for completing the interested challenge. My target was those friends who are not very close to me and asked them random question. I showed a lot of interest in listening them. In this way I really feel they are now a bit closer to me. The same exercise I repeat with some strange people as well like our hostel guard and our hostel store keeper.

The outcome of this activity is show love and respect to people and they will be yours.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
