I believe it is this unpretentious grace, this calm in the face of immutable reality and insurmountable adversity, that is the asymptote that the meditation practice strives towards: a state of mind which lets you embrace life in spite of suffering, setbacks, and loss, and thereby obviate them. Some may call it nirvana.
…d, I understand that what I’m saying may come across as elitist or intellectualized. I expect that. I feel it’s a logical feeling given I’m trying to make general claims from a few individual experiences. That being said, any feelings are totally valid and I have no intention of denying them. I would love to discuss them, as I am still trying to understand my own thoughts on the subject.
