Science of Cannabis Summit — Oct 2015 ScienceofCanna.com

I encourage ANYONE from NYC that sees a career opportunity in cannabis to know the business from the root up.

This “Science of Cannabis Summit” is scheduled for October, but the host city has yet to be selected. NYGahs, i have been here about 5 years and these people haven’t let me around a cannabis plant in nature YET! Honestly.

Honestly, too, in NY we don’t have landscapes; we have lotsa concrete — cityscapes. It is doubly important (and twice as hard) for us to develop deep understanding of the natural world because of how New York City is constructed. This issue is really and truly about our health and survival. I signed up for updates today; I recommend it.

I read an interview with P.A.P.I. (Noreaga from CNN) about 10 years ago in Details where he talked about how important it’d been to have friends who don’t smoke weed around.

Why? Because they were always the ones who would notice if his house was filthy, while NYgahs playing PlayStation n shit. This excellent article was written by a finance mag (Inc.)about legitimate scientific and retail innovation in the cannabis sector. I highly recommend it.

Genifer Murray, co-founder of marijuana testing company CannLabs, says that five years ago no one thought testing weed was important. Now companies have started to put dietary information right on their packaging. “This is how we’re going to legitimize the industry,” she says. “We need to get rid of these images of Bob Marley and tie dye — no offense to Bob Marley — and smoking blunts.” Still, changing the view of the product that has been ingrained over decades remains a work in progress.
