Well, I’m clearly a Clinton partisan, I’m not making any secrets about that.
Marcus H. Johnson

Marcus, why would it have been more appropriate to hide his involvement in the civil rights movement? I’m not trying to insinuate he was a leader, but it seems obvious to me that we should be applauding his civil disobedience to end housing segregation. Likewise, I agree that supporting Jesse Jackson doesn’t entitle Bernie to anything, but isn’t there some value in his endorsement that establishes which side he’s on? After all, there were only a few other elected officials to cross racial lines and support him over Dukakis. I’d appreciate it if Clinton partisans gave him credit where credit is due, instead of only seeing implicit racism, just as I’d like our side to recognize and respect the impressive record you’ve detailed.
