Drones, also known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), are aircraft that operate without a human pilot on board. They can be controlled remotely by a human operator or autonomously by onboard computers. Drones come in various shapes and sizes, ranging from small consumer models to large military and industrial applications. Here are some key aspects of drones:

1. Types of Drones:
— Consumer Drones: These are small, recreational drones typically used for activities like aerial photography, videography, and racing.
— Commercial Drones: Used for various professional applications, such as agriculture (monitoring crops), surveying, infrastructure inspection, and search and rescue.
— Military Drones: Designed for defense and surveillance purposes, these drones can vary in size from small reconnaissance UAVs to large, armed drones.

2. Components:
—Power Source: Drones are powered by batteries or, in some cases, combustion engines.
— Flight Controller: The onboard computer that manages the drone’s flight, stability, and navigation.
— Sensors: GPS, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and other sensors help drones navigate and maintain stability.
— Communication System: Enables communication between the drone and its operator or a ground control station.
