In my opinion, the main trend in travel as a whole is making it “seamless” — this means easy booking, easy travelling and comfortable stay without the need for excessive communication. AI and voice enabled interfaces help a lot in this regard and it will be interesting to see how they develop.

Alternative accommodation is a matter of choice and “AI done right” should be able to help in choosing between hotel and apartment stay in the right time for the right travel purpose.

Finally, I believe, flexible check-ins/check-outs will be “must have” for hotels in near future and we’ll be laughing remembering how we stayed at hotels paying on a nightly basis.
