I think you make some great points! I am personally of the opinion that the industry is not faced, necessarily, with a binary, mutually exclusive option. I believe there is benefit and value to both desktop and mobile VR. I feel that a provocative title that urges readers to “give up on desktop” might not be helpful for the industry as a whole. I do appreciate that you see the often overlooked value and benefit of mobile VR.
