All these are just window dressing. All great advances in human civilization happened when technology allowed distances to be covered faster and more efficiently. Unless humanity invests in Super High Speed transportation options that travel at 1000 kph, we are just going to sit around and gloat about the latest weather app on our personal supercomputer.

That would be “real” advancement, because that is getting the basic stuff right. The fist thing the AI is going to ask is “What, you guys still take 10 hours to travel between two of your major cities? What a bunch of jokers. This planet needs to be destroyed!”
