An Eternal Identity ?

How I longed…to earn….a name,

Garner attention,

And much fame.

From a scratch, it started all,

Just to run ,

Not to crawl.

The race began….to be SOMEBODY,

Not to die,

Simply as… NOBODY.

The struggle and desire,came to a jolt,

One day…..

With a startling halt.

‘DEATH’….I wanted to defy,

But really…..

Did I ?

A thought,though …comforted my heart,

Leaving my name behind,

I am going, to depart.

But…..all my dreams turned futile,

When my friend announced….

The BODY will be cremated after a while.
