Homosexual, Heterosexual, Bisexual, Asexual, Pansexual. It is imperative for our perceptions to grow into reality, allow the restrictions to float away. Humans operate on the spectrum of sexuality, considering sexuality is a fluid motion, not a fixed identity. As revealing as my next passages may be, I pray they enable many others to view the spectrum.
I am a male, genitals and all. I am dreadfully drawn to females, falling for them like a stone from a soaring skyscraper. I appreciate other attractive males. That does not mean my hazel eyes turn to throbbing heart eyes when I see or hug my male friends, it means I am not straight and I am not gay. The infamous flowers clipped in my hair are signs for the outside world that I am not the “average guy.” I identify with what we have collectively decided are feminine traits. I strive to have more of those traits, they make me feel good, beautiful and vulnerable. And personal evolution occurs to those who open their souls to vulnerability. Equally decisive are my agreed masculine traits which I exhibit with extra freedom seeing as I am more drawn to that side of the spectrum. These masculine traits fortify my psych, fortify intimate encounters, as well as fortify a feeling of personal safety. I can exhibit more of feminine traits. Or more male traits and that fact is the wondrous side of human nature; an innate ability to mold ourselves for any situation. Take for instance, the perception of one peer that I am unquestionably masculine, this rings true. Take for example, another peer’s view that I am more feminine than masculine, this also rings true.
Now, the responsibility of acceptance falls to the entire race, working together. Laughter is a given, as it is triggered by unsettled energy. Actions will inevitably define us.
