Daily Habits
Re Human Extended Activity: Wednesdays is Dancing, Salsa 💃.
Even by only going to the classes once a week, I feel immense progress.
Today we learned a pretty cool move. In words, I’d describe it as “a self-half-turn, then a turn to your partner while you’re facing back, then return from the same side in which you came as another half turn”. Video is a better medium to describe it, so I put it up in my Instagram story.
Fitness: Today I watched a video for Human Flag progressions — was very useful. I think this is a way smarter way to practice if I want to do the human flag.
Writing: This post, code, a daily thought, and edited several previous posts to include the “read next/previous post” messages.
Piano: Today in Flowkey I continued their beginner program on the various chords — I applied them to learning a “rock ballad” song.
Books: Finished “How to fail at almost everything and still win big” by Scott Adams (Dilbert). I recommend it. Started reading “The six pillars of self-confidence” — it’s pretty short (total 3 hours and a half) so I think I’ll be done by tomorrow.
Meditation: 20mins in morning.
Soccer trick juggling: Enjoyed my practice today, although I didn’t see huge improvements. Focused on the fundamentals (the plain juggles).
Media Influencer: posted instagram story of salsa move.
Connections, takeaways and Ideas for tomorrow
Getting faster and more comfortable with doing the work of writing these documentation posts. I think that even if they’re not super valuable for me, they’ll be valuable to some people. I also believe that any “media content” that is published online creates a lot of value — maybe not right away, but it accumulates value over time, indefinitely.
