Re-inventing ourselves is the most important skill nowadays. I’m re-inventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time. This post is part of my Re Human project.

Daily Habits

Re Human Extended Activity: Fridays is Music Production and Digital Drawing & Painting.

Music Production

Spent a bit of time adding stuff to the snippet I posted on Thursday. Then thought it would be better practice to start from scratch and create a new beat. Focusing on Quantity is very important for getting good at creating-like skills.

So I made a new beat (deep house):

Digital Drawing and Painting.

Spent some time working on my dad and brother drawing
Then felt inspired by Wait But Why’s (awesome blog) comics and decided to try making a little drawing for a post I’m writing.

Books: I’ve been listening to The Dream Machine. Some notes from today:

Engelbart saw computers as a way to augment human intellect.

How to start doing that? Manipulating words seemed like the obvious way to start. It’s a way to manipulate your ideas. Our thoughts are based on symbols, language — so if you can see them in a screen and manipulate them, you can manipulate your ideas.

Writing: This post, code, and a daily thought (now realizing it’s related to the last note ^ on dream machine).

Fitness: My warmup, biceps, handstands, human flag practice. Recorded myself holding the human flag for around 2 seconds — thought it’ll be useful for my weekly recap or for posting on instagram as a story progression.

Meditation: According to my Muse headband, today I had less time in the “deep calm” state than yesterday but had only 24 seconds in the “active” state. I think the assessment is very dependent on the initial calibration one has to do at the beginning of each session.

Piano: Been learning La La Land’s Sebastian and Mia’s theme!

Soccer trick juggling: Today I was able to do a couple around the worlds, but it’s still not a consistent thing.

Connections, takeaways and Ideas for tomorrow

Excited to send my weekly present tomorrow. Today I spent a while putting it together.
