Simplicity
What it means for me
Today we find many mottos like “Keep it simple, “Less is more”, and so on, and we have great mentors like Steve Jobs, who made out of simplicity his mantra (about this topic you can find information in his biography written by Walter Isaacson).
I don’t study architecture and I am not a super crazy fan of Steve; nevertheless for me simplicity is important, and I can say that it is a general rule in my routine.
I have to admit that my family is for sure partly responsible of this way of living, thinking and acting, and now I am going to explain what simplicity means for me through a list.
Simplicity is:
- being fond of beautiful and eternal classical “things”: Art, books, dance, nature
- the tendency to prefer little but precious stuff instead of a multitude of rubbish
- the capability of wear common clothes and be elegant in the same time (no, I am not speaking about a Valentino dress, I am speaking about the ability to be elegant while wearing a wool jumper)
- a pure face without make-up
- cooking. Cooking is so damned simple and amazing in the same time
- being aware of how much you family is important
- loving your boyfriend\girlfriend truly
- a table with friends around it, wine and good food on it
- being able to say always what you think
- living now, while building your future and while watching the past
Now: I am not saying that I am perfect in all of these 10 personal rules, but I will improve, I swear.
Add your idea of simplicity if you want: it will be really useful.
P.S 11. Simplicity is a cup of dark hot Italian coffee ☺
