June Reading List
It was a slow reading month.
- Faithful Place by Tana French
It took me a while to get into Faithful Place. The first few chapters just didn’t hook me. Once the pace picked up, I couldn’t stop reading it. I should back up a bit and say that this book is the third part of the Dublin Murder Squad series. I like this series because the books are not really connected. You don’t have to read them in publication order to understand and appreciate the stories. Frank Mackey is a character who was introduced in the second book, The Likeness. He is the detective in charge of the Undercover department.
2. American Sniper by Chris Kyle
I wanted to like this book but I just didn’t. I didn’t hate it and I finished it in a timely manner. I am glad that I checked it out from the library, rather than purchasing it though.
3. The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins
I’m not finished with this one yet. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I’m done with it.
