A very special woman once told me: "It's okay to be different. It's cool to be different," and this is something I carried with me for the rest of my life.
I like to think of myself as an 80s babe in the wrong generation, on the wrong planet because that's how I feel navigating life as a late diagnosed autistic woman. Sometimes I feel like I just can't connect with my own generation, but it gives me the opportunity to share a "different" take on things and that's where I find my passion and freedom.
I'm a sweet, sassy Leo who loves rock and roll, art and culture, cool day trips in LA, fashion and Stranger Things. I'm highly emotional, intuitive, psychic, dreamy and romantic with an artistic spirit. I "see" things most people don't and I'm not afraid to challenge the status quo and speak my mind even when it's controversial or "unpopular" because I take pride in being authentic. Somebody has to say it, and self expression has always been something I value. I like to offer different perspectives on things. I enjoy learning about and analyzing astrology as well as reading tarot in my free time. I'm passionate about movies, writing, music and music videos, and storytelling. I have special interests in ancient Rome and Pompeii, anything supernatural and fashion. I'm fun and imaginative with a creative mind, and I'm always finding inspiration and coming up with new ideas about fashion and media trends.
When I'm not writing, I love cosplaying, going to events such as museum exhibits, any Stranger Things immersive experience, walking through botanical gardens and taking photos, attending dog and cat shows, shopping for vintage 80's outfits, visiting crystal shops or just hanging out at the beautiful Getty Villa. There's always something exciting to see, and I've always loved seeing what's going on and wanting to be part of it. One day, I hope to travel and it's always been my dream to visit Australia and Italy.
I'm a little provocative (in a refreshing way) and unafraid to challenge things I observe in "the real world" and online. I'm not for everyone, and I don't sugarcoat things. I like to explore controversial topics and shake things up that others might be afraid to, questioning why people think and do certain things and I do it with love but genuine curiosity and offering insight from a new perspective is something I value.
I graduated college last spring with a Bachelor's Degree in English as well as four other Associate's degrees in Humanities, Philosophy and Arts, Social and Behavioral Studies, Psychology and Communication, Media and Languages and English. I feel called to share my voice, and that's what I love to do. I'm also a photographer on the side, and I've had a few photos published by the San Diego Newsletter.
