NO we do not. If you believe this is The Male Standard (that females need a reason to say no), STOP elevating this idea to the level of a standard.

For the sake of the discussion, let’s go to the extreme and say ALL men think / feel a woman owes them a reason for not engaging with him, sexually, verbally or otherwise.

Why would I adopt that view, bow to it and hail it as A Standard? I am not male!

There is no sign anywhere that says the entirety of humanity must recognize only those Standards constructed by males as valid and worthy. Yet, we have somehow prostrated ourselves at the altar of “The Patriarchy” and subjugated ourselves, thereby creating its authority.
