Have you ever dreamed of flying?

It is one of the most common dreams of all Without the use of airplanes or wings, but simply floating in the air and flying more or less quickly. This is generally due to a desire of leaving the current life or the place where we live and be free. It is a dream that always gives an intense feeling of happiness. Sometimes, however, there may be difficulty in taking off; in this case, this represents the presence of problems that do not allow us to live as we would like.

Now imagine an experience of virtual reality in which you fly over an unknown land, without signs of civilization. In flight, you can fly over plains, seas, hills, mountains more or less high and of course, there are clouds, which can be more or less large and threatening.

Imagine that everything you see is not a random or even pre-generated scenario, but rather is created by the computer in real time and in 3D, with data based on your brain activity, read by the neural interface of Basis Neuro.

The scenario therefore reflects the mood of the player, creating rocky mountains and thick clouds when the player feels restless or nervous, or plains and the sea in case of calm and serenity. The scenario changes according to the changes of mood in a fluid way; the mountains can end up leaving space for plains, the sea or vice versa.

The speed of the flight is given by the general intensity of the brain activity, which can change during the course of the experience and the music reflects the mood of the player, becoming more or less gloomy or more or less melodic. This is done by mixing a small number of audio tracks and chord samples from the computer. The complexity of the scenario will depend on the volume of data arriving from the neural interface and the computing power of the computer in use.

It is therefore a virtual journey within their emotions to observe in an immersive way what their psychological conditions are and how they change during the virtual flight sessions.

Flying is one of the most common dreams of mankind and with this software and virtual reality it will be possible to do it within a scenario created according to one’s own emotions, just as happens in our dreams.

This is just one of the many applications that Basis Neuro’s technology will have in the next future.
