This week the Strek Team meet to talk about the usability testing results and how to approach the Strek marketing assignment. The team discussed how to represent the brand and incorporated these different elements into a creative brief. One of the issues the Strek team faced after our usability testing last week was the possible inclusion of an accent color to the black and white color theme. The team did research on the physiological meaning and effects of different colors. This lead to the team having to decide on the possible accent color of either blue or yellow. The color blue has a calming effect and is a popular color. However, the team felt that this color would not have the vigorous effect that the team wanted for the brand identity compared to the energizing yellow-gold. This accent color would be incorporated into another variation of our Strek logo.

Cera Rios, the Strek Vice President of Web Services, accepted to design our company Facebook cover profile and Facebook Cover photo. Below are some of the prototype designs of the Facebook cover profile logo and the photos that were considered for the Facebook cover design.

Christian Morales, the Strek Vice President of Business Development, designed both advertisement banners. Christian and Cera worked together to find a motto for the company, which would then be incorporated into the advertisement banner designs. A few phrases that were in the running for the final design were Be Buff, Self-made, and Be Bold. This motto would be a key for the Strek’s first marketing campaign.

Tristan McCall, the Strek Vice President of Marketing, worked on a prototype Facebook page, while the Facebook cover photo and the Facebook profile photo were designed and finalized.
