I share your perspective and have struggled with living in poverty while my creative work is appreciated but not compensated and have just started a tipping jar via paypal on my own blog. I am also about to finally embark on Patreon. Because the bottom line is that, creative work, is WORK, that deserves to be compensated. You deserve to be compensated and there are so many people in the world willing to support you if you let them. Right now, this is what an actual communal economy can look like under capitalism.
