SHADOW — THE WITNESS

I was there.

When u smiled for the first time,

when you took your first step,

when you jumped.

I was there.

Shining bright on you,

trying to fade the clouds of sadness,

trying to stop the rain,

trying to burn the darkness.

I was there.

When you were adult and happy,

when you had a happy time,

when you had a happy life.

I was there, that day.

When you were held by the goons,

when you cried out loud,

when no one heard you,

when you were threatened to death,

when you tried to run,

when you were pushed back,

And, when you were Raped!!

I was there, that day.

When you were lying dead,

Not only from inside but outside too.

And now I feel I’m dead too,

For not saving you.

I was there and so were you.

You are gone now and so am I.
