60 Balls: Different Roles, Job Done

Kohli and Rahane faced exactgly 60 balls each, Kohli scored 46 while Rahane scored 79. Both the batsmen did what was expected of them.
Let’s first look at Kohli’s role, Kohli came out to bat early in the innings after Rohit Sharma got run out for 0. Kohli along with Dhawan faced the new ball and survived the new ball spell, then they took singles and kept rotating strike. Kohli made sure Dhawan was there taking his risks and took any opportunity to score boundaries when they did come to him. His role was to keep off the storm of the new ball and keep the board ticking, a role which he did well.
