Siemens Launches 3D print of spider prototype

According to foreign media reports, the recent Siemens Robotics lab in Princeton, New Jersey researchers to create a robot that looks like a spider prototype robots–Siemens SiSpis. This robot has a 3D printing capabilities, can cooperate with each other, to build complex structures such as ships or aircraft, and surface. Moschino Samsung Galaxy case Moschino Note 3 Case

Siemens product design, modeling and simulation of Livio Dalloro, head of the group said: “we are thinking through the use of multiple autonomous robot synergistic additive manufacturing large structures, such as the body, such as ship and aircraft. ”

Despite the manufacturing automation and robot research team using using ready-made motor and cable, but other designing Siemens own almost completed, including 3D printing components.

SiSpis robot is equipped with a built-in camera and a laser scanner, help them interpret the surrounding environment, and independent mark out the current work area. Meanwhile, the research team developed algorithms to help two or more spider robots for the same object or area 3D print or surface treatments. The entire work area is divided into many boxes, robots could work together to complete all tasks.

Each spider robot in its battery is fully charged after about 2 hours of work. When battery power drops below the warning line, and they have the freedom to return to a charging station for charging. Last activity time will first be sent to another charge of robots to ensure that work is not interrupted.
