This is going to be a true story; what I mean by that is this is not going to be a work of fiction, this is going to be completely nonfiction. It’s my life that I’m going to be talking about, specifically my life from the age of, I guess, 21 to around 34. So there’s going to be a lot of content. But the major themes I’m going to be covering are around spirituality and science. I’m just going to demystify what spirituality is using a scientific lens, and of course I’ll be using a very personal, human lens of lived experience as well. I’m going to tell you that it’s all one big mess.

All of spirituality is a big mess — just being upfront about it. I guess a lot of it is nonsense that has been systematically put into people’s brains over the centuries, all thanks to religion. But some of it I guess makes sense, and there is some truth to it which has been overlooked by science. There are some secrets of mysticism that I discovered during my foray into this interesting world, and we are going to demystify that as well.

Let me give you a very quick example of what I mean. I think the idea that there’s a god out there, you know, who’s looking out for all of us, and the entire concept of karma and past lives, and the fact that if you accumulate good karma it’s going to add up and then help us in our next life, and a lot of other things that religion postulates, is kind of bullshit.

But during my explorations into spirituality, I did discover some existence of life beyond the material form. To put simply, I think there is life that exists purely in the spirit domain. Or to put it even more simply — spirits exist, which is what I found. I did make contact with spirits and they did channel through me and told me about a lot of different things and made me do a lot of weird shit which I’m going to talk about later in this book.

But that is something very interesting because I don’t think science has really delved into that aspect of spirituality. So even though, in this book, I’m going to talk a lot of shit about spirituality — about how it’s not true and most of it is definitely like a house of glass that can be shattered using the scientific method and makes no scientific sense at all, there are a few aspects of spirituality though that are true. And even though they haven’t yet been validated by science, I think it’s something that science should probably look into.

And that aspect, as I said right now, is basically the existence of spirits. So that is why this entire thing is so mysterious and messed up. Because you know, on one hand it absolutely makes no sense. Spirituality with its enormous amounts of texts and methods and philosophies and meditations and chakra systems and, I don’t know, ethereal connections of presence and conscious manifestation — all of it is complete nonsense, it’s complete bullshit. But at the same time I did find the existence of spirits to be true, and I mean it in an infallible manner. There was no doubt about it that spirits did exist.

So it’s messed up, it’s not really clear as to what is happening in this field of human existence. And I think science has to delve deeper into it and figure it out. Figure out what exactly this means, because if you look into it, it’s very interesting — it’s one of the most mysterious aspects of life; what happens after death. I mean, there is something within all of us that feels to have an undeniable existence. Some call it consciousness, some may call it life itself, but what I mean by that is there’s something within all of us that doesn’t feel like it’s going to die. That doesn’t feel like it’s going to stop existing. I mean it’s very weird to imagine that once we die, all of it is going to just stop existing and there’s going to be nothing — only a black void. And that thought feels extremely scary.

On the other hand, it feels like there’s something that’s going to continue after we die. I mean what’s going on, what is really going to happen to this experience of ours that we live in…
