Luxurious,good-for-tour archipelago of 700 islands in Atlantic ocean.Nassau is its capital.

There’s nothing much to say about it besides the attractive tourists spots.50% of the country’s economy is based on tourism.It got it’s independence from United Kingdom in 1973.Thats kinda late.

This place was the first one to be discovered by Columbus in 1492,among all New world places.Though our Spaniards didn’t colonize it,they took them as slaves to their place and later the English colonized it.Slavery in the country came to an end in 1834.Before the colonisation,lucayan,arawakan speaking taino people lived in that place.Tribal people.

As for its riches now,it stands 3rd (after US and Canada) among the Americas.

Country’s name is The Bahamas.Strange isn’t it?It is one among the two countries with “the” at the starting.(Other one is The Gambia)

Besides,tourism country’s exports include polystyrene and other chemical products.
