A moment in transition

These past few months that I’ve been spending at home, without any job whatsoever has increased my time spent playing chess proportionately.Along with that,I’ve been watching abstract math lectures by this youtuber Ben Garside -they’re worth recommending.A few history texts coupled with philosophical articles — they make up most of the reading part.

Now that I laid out what my routine looks like,I wouldn’t be surprised if one starts complaining about how boring my life is right now.No job, sitting all day reading and watching stuff on a computer ,worried parents on the other side hearing all the good things other dudes my age are doing — you gotta be aiming at something good and better to patiently bear this burden of disgrace and idleness right? May be so but that’s not what I’m doing.I don’t have any clear idea or procedure or plan or whatever that supports my current way of living except the hope that this may somehow turn out to wake me up one day in a career that is worth it to spend my resources on efficiently.

It’s not to say that this routine that I’m unconsciously following is purely random. They’re are goal oriented(except for chess) .I chose math as my optional for an examination that filters out aspirants for bureaucratic services.History and philosophy are for that same reason.Though,it’s not an easy task to clear an examination which lures people from many fields and in a country like India, where the population has been a major problem for decades now,it’s very difficult.Sometimes,it makes me wonder if India followed the kind of system that US and EU have — a federal rather than being a pseudo,it could benefit and improve the standard to some better figures.Population problem still remains the same but the conditions would be much better.

Anecdotally, though strict population control may seem like a reasonable solution for this age old problem ,I’d say that, even with the slight control or probably nothing, one could address the issues that we are facing ,with the right kind of capital and education. It would probably work out if the masses are provided with right kind of education that results in development of required skills and sufficient capital to make use of the resources the population has become.

But the garbage that is our political system and the herd mentality that exists in the society,it’s unlikely to see the solution from the direction of capital and education succeed in this nation. When I was fifteen,it dawned on me that we’re being made to dance to the songs of the corporate management which I previously thought to be some standard institution that are providing a way further by making us young minds engage in thoughtful discussions regarding all thing science but later turned out to be fame thirst organisations trying to make money and even then,as there was no other option left for me,I had to swim through the pile of shit knowingly.

And further ,my lack of understanding of different courses resulted in me ending up with a degree in something I might’ve enjoyed if there was more practical approach in the way I was taught.

All this is to say that, lack of understanding and awareness about different things in our educational system and the greedy nature of higher classes in the society who make up most of the political sphere are the prime reasons that India should probably go for the other option — strict population control.

I didn’t knew, until I wrote those last few paragraphs ,that I was going to rant against the corporate evils and the social irresponsibility in this post. This was certainly not what I had on mind when I started writing this.I don’t want to expand on the social irresponsibility issue, excluding the education perspective because,it’s an ocean of problems ,ranging from crates(pits) that you should see on the moon but instead find on the roads to the gifts that you’re forced to give to get your things done in a government office.Even thinking about it makes any sane individual want to start another “Russian “ revolution.

I just wanted to write a post that links different discussions on the recent controversy surrounding Google firing it’s employee. But it turned into something I couldn’t possibly expect.Anyway,I’ll make another post about the same.
