GANDHI SAGAR DAM

VT LONDHE MARCH 1994–JUNE 1995

General

This 63 m high dam project is located across Chambal river on the border of the two states of MP and Rajasthan near Jhalawar in the state of Rajasthan.

Achievements

We took up the work of the repairs to the down stream of the dam. The down stream rocky strata was thoroughly damaged by the overflowing water from the crest of the dam through the ski jump bucket. This time bound work was taken up in the month of January 1995 and completed by us at the end of the working season 1994–95.
