The State of Madhya Pradesh was formulated on 01–11–1956 by a mixture of the earlier states of Madhya Bharat, Vindhya Pradesh,Mahakaushal and a part of Maharashtra .This time it was within itself having different rivers like Narmada,Tapti, Chambal, Betwa, Son, Mahi, Wainganga, Dhasan, Ken, Mahanadi, Parbati, Kshipra, Kalisindh, Wardha, Newaj, Pench etc. etc. At that time it was able to serve water to the surrounding states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha.
There after on 01–11–2000 this state was divided into two parts Madhya Bharat and Chhattisgarh. Now also it has all the same rivers within it. Now even at this time it is able to serve water to the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha and the new States of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. This is the important news that the State of Madhya Pradesh has still the highest agriculture record in India.
Apart from this the formation of the State of Chhattisgarh has already taken the maximum Power,Coal,Irrigation Dams and other under earth extractions like Manganese, Copper, Iron etc. etc. from this State of Madhya Pradesh.
