[Vasari DAO] Summoning: The Ritual

This article is about an event for our DAO members — “Summoning” — a regular event for Vasari Grants which is the main system of Vasari DAO.

Vasari Grants

First, let’s briefly talk about Vasari Grants.

Vasari Grants is a program that provides financial support including production cost and technical support for minting NFT to contemporary artists who wish to produce NFTs, supported by DAO Treasury.

During the selection period, the artist plans out the contents of the work to be produced along with their artist CV. Our DAO community votes for the artist to be selected for the Vasari Grants. The selected artists produce NFTs through Ethereum provided from the treasury and get technical support. The produced NFTs are sold through public minting or auctions depending on the work.

Summoning: The Ritual

Summoning is a prayer for the success and longevity of the artists selected for the Vasari Grants, and to Jerome Powell, the chairman of the Fed, so that Ethereum would become bullish.

Separate from the NFT created through grants, the selected artist publishes their own work or a new simple work as an “Offering NFT” to offer as a ritual sacrifice. As long as the work can be published as NFT, it can be of any kind — sketch, music, or poem.

When the Offering NFT is issued, we will hold a community event to pray with DAO members, and airdrop the Offering NFT to all DAO members, i.e. holders of NFTs issued by Vasari DAO. Community events will be held in various forms in the future, such as on/offline listening parties with collaborative musicians, galleries, NFT projects, and actual physical exhibitions.

In summary:

• Vasari Grants is a program that selects contemporary artists who wish to produce NFTs through DAO voting and provides financial and technical support. Selected artists produce Grants NFT and sell it through public minting/auction.
• Artists selected for Grants create an Offering NFT and airdrops the Offering NFT to DAO members along with a community event.
• The community event will be expanded to include online/offline parties and real exhibitions in collaboration with collaborative musicians, galleries, and projects.
