You may, or may not accept but everyone loves a fantasy adventure which can take you to places beyond your wildest imagination. This book DAUGHTER OF PIRATE KING by tricia levenseller is about a 17 years old girl who intentionally allows herself to get captured by enemy pirates to find an ancient map which will lead to the pirate treasure.

When we think of pirates we gradually make our assumption about the ruthless attitude, plenty of drinking, gambling and blood-thirst and their never stopping at anything to gain more riches, power and ships.

Daughter of pirate king is a fantasy book with simple reading language that anyone can read in one sitting. This book starts its story when our protagonist Alosa, who is literally the daughter of the king of pirates, has a mission to find the missing ancient map from the enemy ship by allowing herself to be prisoned by her own will

.There are three pirate lords who have the 3 pieces of map. Each of the three pieces passed down from father to son for generations. One is the Allemos line ( the nightfarer ship captain), another down to the kalligan line( our female protagonist) and third will be with Vordan ( third pirate load). With the three pieces united, the bearer will be able to find the island of song.

Despite Alosa’s situation as a prisoner it still is very enjoyable to read the whole book with a lot of spark between ALOSA and the nightfarer first mate RIDEN. They both get on each other’s nerves from the very start and get into the playful, downright flirty conversation with a bit of sexual tension. Sexy! Right?

Alosa uses her skills as the female pirate in cunning ways to find the map without suspicion but gets blocked by the ship’s sexy first mate Riden a lot of time. The story interesting because Alosa takes calculated risks, not like any lousy drunken pirate like we all used to think how pirates are.

This book is great for the newsreader who loves fantasy and thrilling adventure.

I will give this book 4.5 stars.
